Jesus Christ lived in the world, but he wasn’t of the world. He upheld a godly culture, while surrounded by people living counter to his culture, which is not always an easy thing to do, especially for youth who are impressionable and eager to be accepted by all. And living in a world in which people are harshly judged, mistreated, and even bullied for being different, makes embracing one’s uniqueness even less appealing.
